We can recall an instance when we took our son for a routine cleaning and, after sitting in an assembly line-like waiting room for an eternity, his name is finally called, he is then prepped by an assistant, waits a long time again, and is finally seen by a dentist for no more than three or four minutes. To top it off, the doctor is a far from amicable, detached individual who does not show much interest for the child. Oh, yes, our insurnaces somehow did not cover all the services and we ended up paying hundreds of dollars for a most unsatisfactory experience.

We can also report the experience of one of the adults in the family who went for a routine cleaning, was informed she needed cosmetic dental service and also additional work to replace a crown. She was informed that the insurances we have would cover just about all the costs. Surprise some weeks later: it turns out the insurances only covered a small percentage of the total cost and we had to pay the rest.
